The Problems of Typhoid Screening in the Food Industry

The problems of a national food organization situated in an area involved in a typhoid outbreak are described.

It is suggested that consideration be given to the action that ought to be taken should a similar situation recur and to the need for preparing plans to meet such an emergency; possible standards for the bacteriological screening of food handling personnel are suggested.
