Leukaemia in a Carpet Factory: an Epidemiological Investigation

An epidemiological exercise to investigate a reported excess of leukaemia in a carpet factory is described. The excess is partly confirmed and the investigation indicates that this is most likely due to an excess occurring in the neighbourhood population from which the workforce originates
